During a glorious holiday in India, we stumbled upon this small shop in a little village selling furniture and carvings. Every time we went into the village we found it impossible to walk past the shop without looking in, or talking with the owner. Eventually we took the bull by the horns and asked what was involved in importing the goods back to Scotland. We spent a great deal of our holiday finding out about these fascinating people and their wonderful talents.

Having no idea about the current market place for these items, we decided to research the area, and the only place we could find similar walnut furnishings was America and there was only a limited amount available at extremely inflated prices.

Back in the United Kingdom we stopped thinking about importing and contacted our friends in India. Today we are able to offer quality unique furnishings at realistic prices and we are sure that after browsing through our product pages you too will agree that these are pieces of timeless quality to last for years.

At the same time we decided not to stop at Walnut furnishings and asked about chain stitch and pashminas. We have cushion covers, throws (rugs) and embroidered pashminas of excellent hand made quality.

This year we will return again to India to source many more of their wonderful wares and will keep this web site updated with all our stock items available for purchase.
